I came across this tiny little delicate Pygmy Shrew on the path in front of me as I was walking through some woods. I was waiting for it to scamper off in a hurry, but it didn’t, and as I moved closer to it I realised it had died. As sad as this was, it gave me the perfect opportunity to really see the detail and magnificence of such a normally elusive creature.
